This year's Elmwood Strawberry Festival is not what we are accustomed to, no gathering in the park, no crafts, no car show; but what it is, is a celebration of our local businesses that have been heavily effected by the covid-19 pandemic. Take a moment to pause in our downtown this weekend, look back over the past 10 years and think on how far our community has come after the destruction that visited on a Strawberry Festival Saturday in 2010. The destruction is long gone, replaced by new hope in a beautiful and quaint setting that is our home, our community.
